What I'm leaning on

I'm currently chillin' in my room in Boston. It's super late, but I have jet lag from my last trip from California. I'm excited for what's to come and want to say 'thank you' for your support. God is truly amazing and this music ministry has been a tremendous journey and is only beginning. This year alone I have been fortunate enough to put out my first full album, travel throughout the U.S.A., work with countless producers, and most importantly (and what I enjoy most) speak into the lives of others. Know that God is good and he is truly faithful to his plans for our lives. Don't ever stop believing. It’s really easy to get consumed with the “I can have it now” mentality that our culture is all about nowadays and feel as if God has forgotten about you when things don't appear/change as quickly as you'd like them to. I feel as if we're all victims of it at one time or another. It's truly how we're raised nowadays- For example, if you’re hungry, get a meal from a fast-food restaurant in less than 5 minutes. If you need clothes, walk into a store to buy a shirt within 10 minutes. Need to talk to somebody? Call them and be chatting in less than 2 minutes. It’s easy to do things quickly, but our God is on his own time schedule when it comes to ordering our steps and providing for our needs. Though we know this, we can often grow weary when it comes to waiting on God to fulfill our deepest prayers and desires. It’s easy to become tired and grow discontent with our lives. Even though it’s easy, I’m here to encourage you to rise above it and understand the secret of how to dwell in contentment. _Philippians 4:12-13 reads_, “I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” Therefore, let us not focus on us being without what we may need/want. That focus will only lead to our dissatisfaction. Instead, let us focus on Christ as our strength in life (let Him be the fuel that makes us run, the center of our lives) and He will lead us to truly BEING content.

 

Alright I'm off to bed! I'm off on a two week music tour on Monday and I'm hoping to post all the incredible things that happen. Pray that there's time and an internet connection!
