Day 3- extreming it on the extreme tour

Hey, Hey… Today was another fabulous day on the eXtreme Tour. I thought that we’d be waking up at early hours, but I guess not- I went to bed last night at 3am and was able to sleep in till 12:15pm. I woke up, got dressed and went out with some of the girls. Deborah, Sarah, Natasha (the girl we met yesterday while out late on the town), Angela (an amazing girl who is a part of the church here at Centerpoint) and I went to many thrift stores downtown and then ended our wonderful journey at the ice cream shop that Angela works at. Angela treated us to some amazing ice cream which was sooooo needed in this hot, hot weather here in Columbia. After we got back, I took a little nap and then we all got ready for our show. We took out all the sound equipment and set it up in a parking lot outside the church, prayed and then let the show begin. Many wonderful church members were so kind as to cook some food for the show and all the attendees that would be showing up. It was a good time. First up was Gary with his solo act (the engager).. he did some impressions, originals, and a little bit of covers. Some Dillian, some Fresh Prince of Belair… it was pretty cool. He got the crowd going. Next was David who also was doing a solo act. Some covers and originals… accompanied by Sarah who was playing the drums. Third, was Runaway Symphony. Those guys rocked out… with Dan the man on lead, AJ on the bass, and Jason on drums… they really did their thing. Next, I was up. I was chosen to fill the ministry slot at the show and so I did- by the grace of God, I started off with “Hey, Hey”, went into “Hello Beauty”, shared my testimony and sang “I Need You” and then ended with two volunteers dancing on stage with me to the sounds of “Givin’ it up”. Lastly, the Lacks ended the night in the “dazzle” slot of the show. They really tore it up. We ended the show with an acoustic version of “How He Loves Us” and “How Great is Our God”. Then we prayed.. had a call to come into a relationship with Christ and prayed for people. It was a beautiful thing. I prayed with a girl who desperately wanted Christ to come into her life but just didn’t feel like she could let him in. I told her feelings are fleeting and that God’s truth never fades away. I told her that the word of God says that if you “confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, she’d be saved”. Many other people gave their lives and walked away changed forever. I’m so thankful to even be considered to be used by God to be a part of what is going on here in Columbia. It’s such a blessing to even be a part. After the show we packed everything up and went inside to debrief. We ate some dinner. Pulled some pranks on Jason- the girls put a bunch of bagels in his suit case and bed. Lol. Truly funny… or EXTREME (ie. The eXtreme Tour)We basically stayed up until 3am. God is truly good.. I love this!! Night y’all- Martay Hey, Hey… Today was another fabulous day on the eXtreme Tour.
