Who cares what you know?
Who cares what we know? We can know all the book knowledge in the world, all the truth of the heavenly realms, and all the scientific laws… but if this knowledge is

never applied to do good in our lives—who cares? For example, if you know your car needs gas but fail to fill its tank, who cares about the fact that you “knew” you needed gas? The only thing your car’s passengers are going to care about is the fact that you did not act on that knowledge when you are stranded on the side of the road. They are going to “let you have it” (maybe your friends are nicer than mine, lol) not because you knew there was a problem, but because you knew there was a problem and you did not care enough to act.
Martay Memo: People do not care about how much you know, they crave to know how much you care.
This is true in all of our relationships, even our relationship with LIFE. If I could lend any advice ( And I mean “lend”. I need this one back so I can use it daily): Refuse to keep quiet while problems and trials are starring you in the face with the intention of ripping your life apart. Though not everything can be fixed in a day, refuse to be bullied by life by acting on what you know is true. This is something I am putting to use in my own life.
It works like this: First, I have to pinpoint what is true. The one thing that I know is always true is the Word of God. The bible is the ultimate source of what is true for you and me; it shows us, like a mirror, the life that we should be living. It lets me know of the freedom and provision I’m made to abide in. Therefore, not only do I make sure I’m learning it and know what it says about my issues that stand in my way, I (secondly) use it as a weapon against my daily struggles, temptations, and battles I face. When an issue or temptation rises up (and trust me, they pick the finest times to do so), I speak to it with the word of God. Crazy?? No- hardly heard of and if heard of, hardly practiced. This method is proven to make a shift in the atmosphere and rearrange our situations; Jesus used this method successfully when he was tempted in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11) and I’ve seen it work many times in my own life.
I wish I could sell you a self-help book and become a millionaire, but I don’t think I’d be able to sleep at night knowing that I didn’t help you much at all. This help is simple. If you need results in your life, this is the REAL DEAL. God’s word never returns, when spoken, without it bringing to pass what it is commanding (Isaiah 55:11) and the bible says that angels are commanded to do what the word of the Lord says when we speak it (Psalm 103:20). This is not a “Martay Truth”, this is a BIBLE TRUTH. Yes, life is packed with a ton of things that are trying to take us down daily: debt, lust, negative emotions, jealousy, anger, crazy people, and more… you know how it is. WE LIVE IT! When negative issues and thoughts come against you, don’t just sit there knowing that that thing is starring you in the face—ACT! Speak the truth to it and watch that thing flee! Don’t let hard times take you out. Begin to dream again… begin to believe again… begin to take your life back by speaking the truths that God intends for you to have and be. It all begins by acting, by opening your mouth.
Usually I don’t write like this, but I am sooo tired of the people I love not living the lives that they were meant to live. Refuse to be average. Be the best you can possibly be! One thing you can be certain of is that I will be trying right alongside you. We’re never “screw ups”, we’re just human.
